And the best thing is you can whip it up in your blender in less time than it takes to preheat your oven. You put half a cup of raw cashews with one and a half cups to two cups of water. To that you add one to one and a half cups of unsweetened apple sauce, two teaspoons of vanilla essence, one teaspoon of cinnamon, and a pinch of sea salt. Blend that for about ten to twenty seconds until it’s smooth and creamy. The natural buttery creaminess of the cashew seems to replicate that beautiful pastry flavor that your get with apple pie.
