Vegan Smoothies Recipes

Two quick notes regarding smoothie recipe preparation.

1. I prefer raw mangoes to fully ripe. Generally in India, the store-bought “mangoes” are packed in a green/purple color. In general, this isn’t suitable for blending in a smoothie. So I chop them down into smaller pieces, and allow them to fully ripen for a few days in my fridge, then remove and prepare. They are best the next day after removing from the heat.

2. Applying liquid oil to the mangoes can make the skin darken slightly. I personally don’t like this, but would feel inclined to adjust your recipe accordingly.
The ingredients for this smoothie are as follows:

1.10 Cup mango pulp

1.5 cups almond milk (or any other nut milk)

1/3 cup hemp seeds

1/2 cup honey (or any other sweetener of your choice)

a pinch of cardamom

a pinch of rose petals (optional)

A handful of chopped cashews (optional)

1/4 cup cashew nuts (dried)

1. Pour mango pulp into a blender.

2. Add almond milk/milk substitute, a tablespoon or two of honey (or another sweetener of your choice).

3. Add in the finely chopped cashews, finely chopped cashew nuts and a handful of chopped pistachios (optional).

4. Blend until smooth.

5. Pour the smoothie into glasses or a bowl.

6. Add a pinch of cardamom. Serve and enjoy!

The creamy texture of this smoothie is due to the use of cashew nuts (cashews) in it.

Directions

1. Blend mango pulp in a blender.
