What A Huge Fruit Meal Did To My Blood Sugar (Raw Vegan Diet)

For almost eight years now, I’ve been dumping huge amounts of sugar into my blood stream with almost every meal. I eat a raw food diet that sources most of its calories from low fat, high sugar fruits, and this confuses a lot of people.

I’m regularly told that this is simply too much sugar (as much as 400 grams of carbohydrates per meal, on occasion) and that I’m going to get diabetes or develop hyperglycemia. I must be regularly getting blood sugar spikes that do damage, they say.

Well in this video, I determine if there’s any truth to this. I test my fasting blood sugar levels, eat a huge meal of bananas on film, and then retest a few hours later to see what happened to my blood glucose.
