La Vie Partners With Papa Johns to Launch Hawaiian Vegan Pizza Across the UK – vegconomist

French plant-based meat brand La Vie has partnered with pizza giant Papa Johns to launch the new Hawaiian Vegan Pizza in the UK.

The pizza consists of a classic tomato base topped with pineapple, dairy-free cheese, and La Vie’s plant-based ham. It is now available at Papa Johns locations UK-wide.

“At Papa Johns, we’re always looking to innovate and push the boundaries of what pizza can be,” said Rebecca Carroll, Marketing Director at Papa Johns. “We’re proud of our diverse menu that offers something for everyone, and we’re excited to have joined forces with La Vie™ to introduce a new plant-based pizza – one that’s even more controversial than the classic Hawaiian. This partnership combines popular flavours with plant-based alternatives, offering a bold new way to experience a traditional pizza topping, meat-free!”

“The ultimate plant-based twist”

La Vie’s plant-based ham took five years to develop and is made with just seven ingredients. It is said to be nutritionally superior to conventional ham, featuring five times less saturated fat and 19.5g of protein per 100g.

The ham arrived in the UK a year ago, initially launching at Tesco. It is now also available at Sainsbury’s, Waitrose, and Ocado, and was the subject of La Vie’s first ever TV ad campaign last year.

“We wanted to ensure this was more than just a vegan pizza, and we’re so excited that Papa Johns shared our vision,” said Nicolas Schweitzer, co-founder and CEO of La Vie™. “It’s about taste, innovation, and making vegan choices accessible and exciting for everyone. Whether you’ve been a staunch defender or a passionate hater of the pineapple-on-pizza debate, this is your chance to taste the ultimate plant-based twist and decide where you stand.”
