I presented to you a very tasty mac ‘n cheese or macaroni pie. I really hope you make this as soon as possible because it has been requested by some of my subscribers for a long time.
I want to reiterate that I am giving you options and alternatives for the traditional dishes as best as I can. I want you to stay on your transition. I don’t want you to give up. You will be healthier and happier for doing so.
However, this particular dish is not for eating everyday. If you are diabetic, you have to be especially careful. This white spelt pasta is a simple carb, that will up your glucose levels very quickly. Again, you need to have balance i.e. lots of greens. The ideal is 80/20.
80 percent greens with 20 percent other. Take care of yourselves..
RECIPE
Vegan Macaroni Pie
spelt elbow macaroni
1 8oz packet
white spelt flour
2 tablespoons
vegan butter
3 tablespoons (see recipe in breads section)
cayenne pepper
1 teaspoon
salt to taste
mushroom powder
1 tablespoon
brazil nut/hemp milk
1 cup
rejuvelac
1/4 cup
pasta water
2/3 cup
homemade mozzarella style cheese
2 cups
homemade parmesan style cheese
1 cup
plum tomatoes
2 cups (optional, drain all liquid and chop)
Please Note: The Parmesan stye cheese is very time-consuming to make. You can do an alternative Vegan Cheddar cheese recipe which I uploaded on August 13, 2020. This cheese is easier to make and will be great in this recipe. Thankyou.
