15 Minute Spicy Sausage Pasta (gluten-free & vegan options)



Today I am showing you how to make Harissa Spiced Sausage Pasta in 15 minutes! This is such a delicious, easy, comforting pasta recipe to share! Give it a try and let me know what you think 👍

Serves 2

▪️2 tbsp olive oil
▪️4 sausages (I used vegan)
▪️250g cherry tomatoes
▪️200g spaghetti (I’m using gluten-free)
▪️2 garlic cloves
▪️small handful fresh basil leaves
▪️Juice of 1/2 lemon
▪️3-4 tbsp tomato puree
▪️2 tsp harissa paste
▪️pinch of chilli flakes
▪️1 tsp paprika
▪️Salt & Pepper

1️⃣Firstly, chop the sausages into chunks and add to a large non stick pan with olive oil + tomatoes and fry together 2-3 minutes until the tomatoes soften

2️⃣Meanwhile boil the pasta in salted water for 10-12 minutes

3️⃣Once the tomatoes have softened, squash with a fork to release the juice and add in the crushed garlic + chopped basil + lemon juice + tomato puree + harissa paste + chilli flakes + paprika + pinch salt and pepper and fry together for 2-3 minutes

4️⃣Finally, save a couple tbsp of pasta water before draining the pasta. Add the drained pasta directly into the sauce + the pasta and combine before serving

➡️What if I’m not gluten-free? You can use whichever pasta you want
➡️Can I use other pasta shapes? Yes fusilli or penne would work really well too!
➡️Can I use meat sausages? Of course, use which you prefer
➡️Is it very spicy? No, I try to keep most of my recipes on the milder side so that those who love spice can ramp it up to their own taste
