Healthy Vegan flapjacks 

These flapjacks are delicious, packed with healthy proteins and organic dates instead of sugar. They are an instant energy boost and easy to make anytime.

Recipe / ingredients

1 cup of ready-to-eat stoned organic dates

3/4 cup of low-fat vegan spread

3 generous tbsp agave syrup

1/3 cup of chopped toasted hazelnut

3 tbsp chia seed

1 1/2 cups of ground gluten free porridge oats

Directions:

 Heat your oven to 190C.

Chop the dates and put in a saucepan with the low-fat spread and agave syrup and heat gently.

Stir well, until the mix has melted and the dates are blended in.

Add the rest of the ingredients (chia and ground oats) to the a food processor and blitz for about 20 seconds until they are well mixed and malleable.

 Spoon the mixture onto a flat oven tray which is lines with baking paper and spread level- cutting into blocks or bars – as you wish.

Bake in the oven for 15-20 mins until a beautiful golden brown.

When you take input let stand for about 10-15 minutes and then enjoy !
