Cacao & Matcha Raw Energy Balls

Here we go! It’s that time of the month ladies when I want to EAT ALL OF DA FOOD & SUGAR! But as we all know sugar is baaaaad. So here are some of my fav ways of deterring from the demon sugars as a monthly fix during the monthly cycle. And for the men and women who aren’t pms-ing – feeling like they want to eat everything in sight bar the kitchen sink- who read the blog – these powered protein balls are great for training and exercise! And for a tasty treat in general with fantastic health benefits! 

Matcha

Amongst its many health benefits, matcha…

  • Is packed with antioxidants including the powerful EGCg
  • Boosts metabolism and burns calories
  • Detoxifies effectively and naturally
  • Calms the mind and relaxes the body
  • Is rich in fiber, chlorophyll and vitamins
  • Enhances mood and aids in concentration

Cacao & Matcha Raw Energy Balls recipe

54 calories each ***

½ cup dates, pitted

½ cup whole raw almonds

¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1 Tbsp. matcha powder, plus more for rolling*

1/4 cup of mulled linseed

1/2 cup of peanut butter 

1/2 cup of maple syrup or agave syrup 

Directions:

Place ingredients in food processor. Pulse until well mixed. Add maple syrup. Pulse until well mixed.Roll into balls, each about the size of a tablespoon. Roll balls in matcha powder! Enjoy!
