Walnut Pate

This was my first time ever making pate. I couldn’t believe how simple it is. And as a raw food it’s bursting with natural earthy protein and nutrients. 

This particular food is great for stress relief and as a brain food. Walnuts contain a number of neuroprotective compounds, including vitamin E, folate, melatonin, omega-3 fats, and antioxidants. Research shows walnut consumption may support brain health, including increasing inferential reasoning in young adults.

One study also found that consuming high-antioxidant foods like walnuts “can decrease the enhanced vulnerability to oxidative stress that occurs in aging,” “increase health span,” and also “enhance cognitive and motor function in aging.”

Recipe : 

Soak a cup of walnuts for one and a half hours on water then drain 

1 celery stalk 

1 carrot 

1/8 cup of tamari or gluten free soy sauce 

Sprinkle of salt and pepper 

Mix in food processor
