Green spinach pesto

Spinach Brazil nut pesto – new recipe I just made up and tried last night and it tastes amazing and is packed with healthy fats ideal for when you are weight training ✌️🙌👌

🌿 Brazil nuts are high in calories, contain good quantities of vitamins, anti-oxidants and minerals. Its kernels, in-fact, have been staple energy sources of native Amazonians even today. They also provide over 650 calories per 100g of high content mono- unsaturated fatty acids! (MUFA) like palmitoleic acid (16:1) and oleic acid (18:1) that helps lower LDL or “bad cholesterol” and increase HDL or “good cholesterol” levels in the blood. They are also a great source of Vitamin E which is a powerful lipid soluble antioxidant and is superb for healthy skin!

Research studies suggest that Mediterranean diet that is rich in monounsaturated fatty acids offers protection from coronary artery disease and strokes by favoring healthy blood lipid profile.

Recipe

8 brasil nuts : ground

Large handful of spinach

3 leafy basil

2 Tablespoons of olive oil
