Rice Paper Wraps 

I really enjoy these healthy alternatives to crispy greasy pancake or spring rolls that we have all become accustomed to. 

Rice paper wraps can be found in Southeast Asian cooking, where they are used for making fresh spring or summer rolls in Vietnamese cuisine. I do love me some Asian cuisine 😁

The best thing I like about these is that you buy them dried, so they store well and are easy to use, requiring little preparation. They also replace higher-calorie breads and can help you lose weight, when tou keel your fillings for rice paper wrappers healthy that is!

Recipe below but really folks you can put whatever you like in them that’s fresh! 

Recipe 

Rice paper wraps dips gently into boiling water for about 30 seconds and then fill with the below:

Red cabbage sliced finely 

Carrots sliced finely 

Cucumber sliced finely 

Bottled and pickles ginger slices 

Avocado slices 

Spinach 

Bean sprouts 

Broccoli sprouts 

And tamari gluten free soy sauce equivalent
